David Byrne’s inflatable world

Behemot bookshop originally opened in November 2005 on Ljubljana's Jewish Lane. Our business model was based on eclectic, idiosyncratic selection of books and fast special order service. That business model was destroyed by "digital transition".

In a stubborn attempt to continue exploring the possibilities of a physical book-space, on the 11th of October 2012 we moved to the City Art Gallery on Mestni trg 5. Here we will try to find a new business model for a small, self-sustained community bookstore.
