Behemot bookshop opened in November 2005 on Ljubljana's Jewish Lane. We are an independent all-in-English bookshop, proud for its idiosyncratic selection of books. In the past seven years our business model was based on an eclectic selection of books and a fast special order service. That business model is now gone.
Not giving up easily, and in an attempt to further explore the possible meanings of a physical book-space, on the 11th of October 2012 we moved to the ground-floor of the City Art Gallery where we continue to offer and share our Wunderkammer of great books.
